Repair Fire Damage Diverting Canal Bridge, Stockton
2021-2023
The Port of Stockton’s shipping operations required that a new dock be rebuilt for vessels up to 1000-feet in length. The new dock would vastly increase the safety and efficiency of dock operations during vessel traffic. The piers were constructed using three 8x120 foot monopiles capped with reinforced concrete to be used as mooring tie-off locations. The bents were made of 64 14-inch steel H-piles.
The dock’s steel framing consisted of over 250 tons of structural steel, including cap beams, stringers, stiffeners, cross bracing, decking and handrail. CEC self-performed installation for all pile driving, structural steel procurement and erection, cast-in-place concrete decks and abutments, handrails and bullrails, elastomeric fenders, bollards, and new potable water utility.
